Hi there! I’m Alisha Geary, a freelance copywriter, web designer, social media manager, and disability advocate.

If that sounds like a lot, don’t worry—everything I do boils down to one mission: helping people connect through clear, inclusive communication.

I specialize in turning complex ideas into content that anyone can understand and enjoy, because I believe a great message deserves to be heard by everyone.

My Journey

As far back as I can remember, I’ve been the friend who loves explaining the unexplainable—guiding others through unfamiliar territory and breaking down complicated ideas into plain language.

I’ve always had a knack for writing, too, so it’s no surprise that this passion for clarity led me to a career in copywriting and marketing.

Now, as a freelancer, I get to use that talent every day—helping individuals and businesses communicate their ideas in a way everyone can grasp.

Credentials & Affiliations

I’m a big believer in continuous learning and professional growth.

Right now, I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing to deepen my understanding of business and strategy.

I’m also proud to be an AWAI Verified Copywriter (certified by the American Writers & Artists Institute), which means I’ve honed my copywriting skills with industry-leading training.

In addition, I’ve earned HubSpot Certifications in SEO and Content Marketing, so you can trust that I stay up-to-date on the latest best practices for getting your message found online.

Being part of the professional writing community is important to me, too. I’m an active member of the Professional Writer’s Alliance and the Barefoot Writer Club, and I serve as a contributing writer with the International Association of Professional Writers & Editors (IAPWE).

These communities keep me inspired, sharpen my skills, and ensure I’m always learning new ways to serve my clients better.

On the academic side, I’m honored to be a member of three honor societies: Phi Theta Kappa (Beta Upsilon Psi chapter), the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), and the Society of Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA).

Being recognized by these organizations means a lot to me—it reflects my commitment to excellence and lifelong learning, values that I carry into every project I take on.
